Beginning Chemistry

The main people were Democritus, John Dalton, JJ Thompson, and Buhr.

Democritus was one the two men who figured out that there was such a thing as an atom.

John Dalton was the one who constructed the atomic theory. Some of his writings helped him think up the atomic theory.

Buhr studied the work of other scientist to put together the sructure of the atom. HE also came up with quantum mechanics.

JJ THompson won a Noble Peace Prize in physics for dicovering the electon. He also credited for finding the isotopes.

THese scientist didn't discover these thing just by luck. They discovered them by not quitting and going that extra mile for something that could be completely wrong. Other scientist may have given up, but not these men.

Democtrius did not have the tools that they had in Buhr's and Dalton's time period. WHich probably prevented him from figuring out the stuff they did. In the other's time period most people were very poor. THey could not afford the usual tools so they improvised and made their own tools. THey also didnot have the proper tools which limited their studies.

It is still a theory because it has not been scientificly proven yet.

It helps us understand how atoms stay together and how the atom works. It helps us learn more about the atom and what it is.
