The main characters that developed the atom were Democritus,Dalton,Thompson,Leucippus, and you can't forget Bohr.

They were important to the developement to of the atom because, they discovered the atomic theory, how atoms worked moved and were charged. They were able to build a structure of atoms to give examples of how they looked. If it wasnt for them we would still today either not know about atoms or still trying to figure what out how they worked and what they were.

The things that made the scientist different were their different interpertations of how the atoms worked and how they were designed. Bohrs theory had to be changed later on because it didnt work so thats why we have the new and improved atomic theory today.

Scientists back then had to do things differently then scientist today because they didnt have all the modern technogly we have nowadays. Without the technogly they were limited in sources and how they could get things to work. When they finally got the results they would have to do it over and over more times then we do now. Todays scientist have it easier than the ones from back then because of the advancement in technology.

The atomic theory is still a theory because not all of it has been proven so therefore it can not be a law.

It is important that we understand the atom structure because we will see them on tests and in labs throughout our school time and maybe later on in jobs that we do in life.
